Collections of poems that help me dive into the complexity of the sentient mind.

I have been writing stories based on personal experience coupled with fiction. By using a lot of nature allegories and imagery, I am able to draw a picture of my own understanding of the dynamics between people, oneself and the environment. Some pieces are in other languages, such as French and Arabic, as part of a personal language practice exercise.

My own story has been about death and rebirth. The journey starts in South Africa (Cape Town), but I am now based in Montreal, QC, Canada after having spent some time travelling.

I started writing poetry to help me with mental health-related struggles, but my “poetry” universe has extended to the realm of trivial thoughts and imagination. On the side I also paint/draw, do a bit of photography and learn how to play the Ukulele. I am also a language learner and study a bit of linguistics on the side.
